Message from Pr. DeLoachDear Saints of Zion,
I imagine most of you have received "spoofing" or "fishing" emails, texts, or phone calls. This process involves pretending to be someone else in order to gain access to his contacts. My name, number, and email are publicly available through Zion's publications so our members and others know how to contact me. Sadly, fraudsters have used my name or number for deceptive purposes on more than one occasion. I am not sure exactly how it works, but some of you have received emails or texts from people pretending to be me. For example, someone texted my wife using my name but it came from a different phone number (308-252-8553). Carol informed me she had received this suspicious text. I reported the number to ReportFraud.ftc.gov and Carol reported the number as SPAM and BLOCKED the number. Please always check the phone number or email address BEFORE responding to any message from me (or others). I will never contact you for financial assistance for myself or others. If you ever have questions about a message that appears to come from me or Zion, please call me directly. Join us to Grow in God's Word!Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church
is a Christ-centered, compassionate and confessional, loving and liturgical congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod located in the heart of Kearney, NE. Our Lord gathers us around His Holy Word and Sacraments in the Divine Service each Sunday at 9am, with Bible study and Sunday school to follow. Click here to learn more about the LC-MS in general and click here to learn more about our specific beliefs. One way we care for our community is to operate and support an excellent and explicitly Christian school, which is a safe haven where God's children can learn and freely express the Christian faith.
